We went to the plot of land behind the staff room and began having briefing by our teachers about what we are going to do today which is to transplant our plants to two plot of organic compose , sawdust and topsoil. Each class is split into four groups in which the first group is to loosen the soil , take out bits and pieces of objects which does not belong to the soil, after which mixed it all – topsoil, organic compose, and sawdust. After the first group is done, the second group would transplant the seedlings, which is our job as we are in the second group… Only trinity’s seeds succeed in growing into two seedlings. The third group is to tie up a few wooden sticks together which would support the plants as it grow taller. And the last group is to water the plants everyday including september holidays. After the briefing, we went to do our allocated task and after doing it, we went back to class preparing to go for assembly.
hallo…(: almost all our plants died!!so sad…i just regretted growing the cucumber plant and in the end..DIED!!haixx…just hoped that we can start afresh..and plant new cucumbers..(if we can did it)haha…by the way..growing plant is fun!!(but not watching it die)..(:
haha(:
byebye(: happy planting!!(:
All of our group members do not have experience on how 2 plant the seeds, how 2 take proper care of it and not 2 overwater it. Thus, almost all of our seedlings had withered, a few daes after it grows. Haiyo… failure 2 our seeds!!!
We are told and taught to create a blog to record down the group’s discussion, photos , information and other things relevant to our project in which we are doing now, farming recently through a talk by the teachers who are in charge in this project too. Before this talk, we had went to a learning journey to bottletree park hoping to learn more about farming and different types of plants which fall under the category of creepers, crawlers basically low ground plants which would be able to grow well in the climate of Singapore and be able to bear edible fruits. After much discussion, we had decided on planting cucumber as it fitted all the criteria and all of the group members has no objection to it.We then collected the seeds and soil and began taking care of it at home.
